This hat has a Velcro closure on the back, so one size fits any head. It has a heavier, 7.5 ounce Poly/Cotton Blend fabric. Sharp-looking hat!
This one is just like the white one - only black. It has the same 7.5 ounce fabric - creating a sturdier, longer-lasting piece of chef wear. Years ago, we opted sold a lighter, thinner hat. We have discontinued that thinner, black hat in favor of this one. It has a nice "feel" to it and will simply last longer. Wash it, dry it, and use it. This hat should provide a long-lasting wear - even in the most rough and tumble atmosphere.
The hat is washable. If you want to clean it, simply throw it in with the rest of the wash and dry it just like you would any piece of fabric. Remember, the polyester / cotton blend will provide a more stable fabric than a basic cotton hat would. Polyester will not only hold the black dye very well, it will also be less likely to shrink than its cotton counterpart.
The band has a fairly large Velcro closure on the back of the hat. This allows a one-size-fits all design for even some of the smallest heads. (We actually sold several hundred hats to an elementary school that was providing chef costumes for its third, fourth and fifth graders). And, as the Velcro strips are quite large, it fits larger heads as well. In fact, I can't ever remember anyone returning one because the hats were too small.
